Tawana Meck is a distinguished curator and producer with a global footprint. Born in Zimbabwe and having lived in London, Vienna, and New York, he is now based in Newark, NJ. Tawana has an extensive background in music curation and event production, collaborating with prestigious brands and institutions such as Vogue, Moët, W Hotel, UNICEF, Universal Standard, Newark Arts Festival, and the Newark Museum of Art.
He has also significantly contributed to high-profile events worldwide, including FIMA, the biggest African fashion show in Morocco; Men's Fashion Week in Paris; Zona Maco events in Mexico City; and Art Basel events in Miami. Additionally, he has worked on various client projects in Los Angeles and New York.
As the co-founder of Song Leader Inc. and the current Program and Operations Manager for the Newark City Parks Foundation, Tawana leverages his expertise to foster cultural and artistic initiatives within the community.
